How a record is built

A record is assembled from independent sources, connected to a verified identity and kept open to response. It is never produced from a single unexplained score.

Structured information submitted to RRSource. Not yet an established fact.
Evidence
Supporting material attached to a report, where available.
Witnesses
Independent signals from people connected to a report, where applicable.
Identity matching
Signals are connected to the right identity using available identifiers. Matching isn’t perfect, which is why anyone can dispute it.

The subject can respond to, challenge or dispute anything through RRSource’s process.

Relevant information brought together into a structured record. Extra context for a decision, not a verdict on someone’s character.
Renting a home or hiring help for it? Run a tenant or landlord reference check before you sign, or check a nanny, cleaner, carer or contractor before you hand over the keys. Your portable Reputation Record works like a vault for your assurances: every check, reference and resolved dispute kept safe and ready to show.
So if a short stay ends in damage, a hire turns sour or a deposit won’t come back, you have a resolution you can prove, not your word against theirs. And where tenancy laws cap rent in advance, it gives landlords the assurance upfront payments used to.
The five steps

A report is organised, reviewed and answerable. Only a completed Resolution can make it count towards an RR Score.

A report is created
An identity-verified reporter files a structured account of an interaction: what happened, when and with whom.

Evidence is attached
Screenshots, documents, receipts, video or witness statements support the account.

The subject can respond
The person or business the report concerns is told and can add context, dispute it or resolve it directly.

Resolution is attempted
Unresolved disagreements go through a structured negotiation and, where needed, an independent review.

The Resolution is recorded
A completed Resolution is added to the history. Only then can the report affect the RR Score.
What makes it different
Three rules the process never breaks.
Nobody is anonymous
Both the reporter and the subject are identity-verified. No anonymous accusations, no anonymous targets.
Nothing is hidden from the subject
The subject sees every report filed against them and every piece of evidence attached.
The record can be corrected
Disputes, appeals and resolutions all update the same record. History is never rewritten, only extended.
What goes into each entry
Nothing lands on a record just because one person said so.

What one side says happened, in a set structure. A report is never treated as fact on its own.

Photos, receipts, inventories and messages, with personal details redacted where needed.

Witnesses
People who were there can confirm what they saw, with their connection to the case shown.

The other side replies, challenges or disputes. Their answer sits beside the report, not beneath it.

How it ended is recorded on both records. Open, disputed and resolved are always shown differently.

Common questions
Is there a score?
Yes. A verified record has a live RR Score out of 1,000 that starts at 500. A report can only affect it after a completed Resolution, and the full record behind the score is always there to read.
Who can see my record?
You decide. Share your Record ID with a landlord, host or household, or keep your record private. Knowing your number does not give anyone permission on its own.
What if something is wrong?
Respond to it, challenge it or dispute it. If a report has been attached to the wrong person, an identity dispute is reviewed before anything stays on your record.
Does it cost anything?
Your own record is free, and viewing it is always free. Verified members get 20 searches a month. Paid plans add more.
Can I pay to remove a report?
No. Paying money can’t remove, hide or change a report, or change an RR Score. A report changes status only after both sides agree an outcome, and settling is not an admission of fault.
