Safety and fair process

Fair to both sides.

Anyone named in a report can answer it, every step is logged, and money can't move a report.

How we check who someone is

Identity document

An accepted document is checked, using the options available where you live.

Live selfie

Confirms the document belongs to the person presenting it.

Phone number

A short code confirms the number is theirs.

Email address

A secure link confirms the address is theirs.

These checks are recorded separately. A verified identity does not mean every check, including phone, has been completed. Verification is not a judgement of character.

How disputes get settled

Not every disagreement needs the same process.

  1. 01

    Direct response

The other side answers the report with context or a correction everyone can read.

  2. 02

    Agreed outcome

A structured offer and reply, so both sides can settle without a public back and forth.

  3. 03

    “This isn’t me”

Identity disputes are reviewed independently before anything is attached to the wrong person.

  4. 04

    Review and appeal

What can’t be settled directly goes to a wider review, with a final appeal before it closes.

Rules we don’t bend

  1. 01

    Everything is timestamped.

Every offer, reply and appeal carries the time it happened.

  2. 02

    Both sides see everything.

The full sequence of events, not a summary.

  3. 03

    Settling isn’t admitting.

A resolved dispute records that it was settled. It is not presented as proof the original claim was true.

  4. 04

    Serious claims get a person.

Sensitive or high-impact reports are escalated for human review before they are shown.

  5. 05

    Outcomes aren't for sale.

No paid removals, no paid score changes, no paid priority.
